The Islamic Society of Spartanburg is a religious organization that provides a spiritual home for Muslims in the Spartanburg area. Our masjid is a place where Muslims come together to worship, learn, and build community. We strive to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where people from diverse backgrounds can come together in the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood. Our society is committed to promoting interfaith understanding and serving the broader community through charitable work and outreach programs.

The Islamic Society of Spartanburg provides a range of services and programs to meet the needs of the local Muslim community. We offer five daily prayers, Friday Jummah prayer, and Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha prayers. Our masjid also provides religious classes for children and adults. In addition, we offer counseling services and support groups for those in need.

We also engage in outreach programs to serve the broader community. Our society organizes food drives, fund raisers, and other charitable initiatives to help those in need. We host open houses and interfaith events to promote dialogue and understanding between Muslims and people of other faiths. Furthermore, we collaborate with other local organizations to support social justice and advocacy efforts.

The mission of the Islamic Society of Spartanburg (ISoS) is to provide the Muslim community with a fostering environment that promotes spiritual and devotional growth and inspires true and meaningful worship with the correct application of religious knowledge, to help everyday believers grow in faith and virtue.

Vision

The vision of the Islamic Society of Spartanburg (ISoS) is to glorify God through three main objectives:

1. Sharing the love and mercy of God through both actions and words.
2. Educating Muslims on the proper Islamic theology and methodology, which serve as a bulwark against terrorism, extremism, and antipathy.
3. Building bridges of communication and understanding with other faiths.

By focusing on these three core aspects, ISoS aims to create a vibrant Muslim community that upholds the true values of Islam while fostering harmony and understanding with people of other beliefs.
